Salads has always been a side to our mains and hence merely appreciated with due respect to its taste and freshness. They are generally thought to be less of tasty and more of healthy, But we are pretty sure that once you try the salads listed below, you are sure to change your opinion and also your mid night munchies.

1. Firm and crunch Greek salad 
Want something as a side to your food but don’t want to spend a lot of time to make it. This salad is the perfect combination of tasty, fast and easy to make.

Cut vegetables into cubes, tear lettuce and mash the feta cheese , add in lime juice, salad oil, oregano ,chili flakes , freshly grounded pepper. Add salt just before service. Serve chilled.

Ingredients used (Serves 4)
• 2 Cucumber diced
• 2 tomatoes diced
• 1 med size lettuce roughly tour
• 1 big onion thin roundels
• 150gm of feta small cubes
• 50gms of kidney beans boiled
• small bunch of cilantro finely chopped
• 4 tbsp Salad oil
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1/2 tsp Pepper
• Chili Flakes
• Oregano

2.  Munchy Mexican salad

To start with, Shred some lettuce, chop vegetables, crush nachos, boil kidney beans and mix them in a bowl. Keep the water of the boiled kidney beans for the dressing, In a pan add 1 cup of the kidney beans water, reduce it to half then add 50 gm mashed kidney beans and tomato puree and cook it till it’s done, Keep it to cool. Add sour cream to the reduced water once it cools down ,Season with salt and pepper. Whisk well to combine then add into the bowl full of other ingredients. Serve immediately.

Ingredients used (Serves 4)
• 200gm of nachos
• 1 medium size lettuce thinly shredded
• 1 big onion chopped
• 1 tomato chopped
• 10-15 olives thinly sliced
• 1/2 cup onion greens roughly chopped
• 150gm + 50gm kidney beans boiled
• 1/2 cup tomato puree
• 1 cup sour cream
• salt and pepper to taste

3. Masaledar Potato salad
Salads are not that big a part of Indian Cookery unless they are packed with flavors and spices , this is a salad that uses the most common ingredient to get amazingly delicious results.

Cut the potatoes and boiled them in salted water, then in a pan add oil, add cumin and let it crackle. Add the potatoes into it then add little turmeric and red chilly toss with some lime juice and take out on a plate. Add in roughly chopped dill and coriander and toss well. Serve warm.

Ingredients used (Serves 4)
• 3 Big Potatoes
• 1 whole Lime juice
• few leaves and stems of Coriander chopped
• few leaves of Dill roughly chopped
• 1 Tbsp Cumin
• 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp red chili powder
• 1/2 tsp salt

4. Classic Coleslaw
This is the one thing that goes with all. Stuff it in your between your burgers or eat it with your roast, this salad is never going to turn you down.


To begin with Shred the cabbage and Romanian lettuce, cut onion , capsicum and into thin matchstick size (julienne) .Dip all the vegs in chilled water . Now in a bowl mix in the oil, vinegar, mustard , salt and pepper whisk to form an emulsion. Just before service add in the dressing to the well drained vegetables. You may add some chopped walnuts for an extra crunch.

• 1 Big Red Cabbage Shredded
• 1 Big Romaine Lettuce Shredded
• 1 Onion in julienne
• 1 Green or red bell pepper in Julienne
• 4 tbsp Salad oil
• 3 tbsp vinegar
• 1 tbsp mustard
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp pepper
• 5-7 walnuts chopped (optional)

5. Fresh and filling Pasta Salad
Who does not like a chilled pasta-mayo salad? But always hopped if it could be little less heavy or of the right sweetness, So this recipe is going to make all the difference.

Start with the dressing first, In a bowl add regular mayo in that mix in the yogurt for a lighter body , add mustard paste ,sugar , salt and pepper. Add in all the freshly cut vegetables. Cook drain and let the pasta cool , then toss in the dressing to combine. Cover with cling wrap and fix it into the fridge for at least 3-4 hrs to up to overnight. Just Before serving add 2 more spoons of mayo and 1/2 tbsp mustard and it’s done.

• 250g Pasta (Macroni)
• 2 Onions chopped
• 1 Capsicum chopped
• 2 tomato chopped
• 1 small bowl of Sweet Corn
For the Dressing
• 1 cup Mayo
• 1 cup Yogurt
• 3 Tbsp Mustard pasta
• 2 Tbsp Sugar
• 1 tsp Salt
• 1/2 tsp Black pepper
